Service Description

Nitrox can help you extend your dive time, come find out how! Nitrox is a breathing gas that has a lot of benefits for both new and experienced divers. This course will cover the use of nitrox mixtures from 22 to 40 percent oxygen. What you get from this course: This course is designed to teach divers the principles of diving with Nitrox up to 40% with the aid of a nitrox programmable dive computer. Student Prerequisites 1. Open Water Scuba Diver, Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent, or current enrolment in one of those courses 2. Minimum age 18, 10 with parental consent Duration: 1 Day Upon successful completion of this course, you may: 1. Conduct open circuit dives utilizing a dive computer with a single gas of no greater than 40 percent oxygen and not requiring decompression. The training program does not qualify divers to make dives which require mandatory in-water decompression stops or dives using more than one breathing gas and/or rebreathers. Equipment requirements: - Basic open water scuba diving equipment (can be rented if you don’t have your own) - Exposure Suit (Wetsuit or Drysuit) - Swimming Costume - Towel - Water Bottle (includes Nitrox cylinders)
